Poggio delle Rose is a dream. Imagine an elegant hilltop farmstead strategically positioned in the center of the “Golden Triangle” between Florence, Siena, and Pisa, surrounded by 24 acres of vineyards, olive groves and woods with stunning views of the gently rolling hills leading to the ancient towers of San Gimignano. Now picture yourself nestled in Capanna, a meticulously renovated separate cottage on the wine estate where you can enjoy watching spectacular sunsets over the vineyards with your family or friends.
Capanna sleeps eight comfortably, but is equally ideal for two couples. Capanna has private access, with its own entrance gate, private parking, and a private path to the pool, which is shared.
The kitchen is equipped with state-of-the-art appliances and marble counters. A beautiful garden path decked with flowers leads to a magnificent pool with Roman steps, perfect for an impromptu wine tasting or whiling away a summer afternoon with a book. Within hiking distance are a family-owned restaurant, a grocery store, butcher shop, pharmacy, newsstand, and one of the oldest churches in the area. A few miles down the hill is the picturesque walled hill town of Certaldo, where you will find the rail station (45 minutes to Florence; 40 minutes to Siena). Florence, Siena and Pisa are all within one hour by car, but the accommodations are so beautiful and the views so magnificent, you won’t want to leave home! A rental car (not included) is required. Passport copy for each guest is required on arrival.
