Every Wednesday, the early matinee screening (go to BrynMawrFilm.org for
exact time) is intended for moms (and dads too!) with small babies in tow.
These Going Gaga screenings feature one of the films that we are currently
showing in the evenings.
We know how difficult it can be for parents with infants to find time
for themselves, so we invite you to bring your baby with you to see our
current films and enjoy some “grown-up time” with other parents.
We will provide you with a baby-friendly movie theater environment:
lights will be dimmed so that you can find your way in and out of the
theater as needed, and the volume level will be turned down so as
not to damage your baby’s more sensitive eardrums. We’ll even
provide you with a changing table in our lobby.
Because this series features our current feature films, which are
geared towards a mature audience, this series is recommended for
parents with children younger than eighteen months.
Ticket prices for the parents are the same as our regular matinee
prices, and go on sale 30 minutes before the show. Babies come free!
We hope that new parents will take advantage of this opportunity to
see the best new movies and connect with other new parents.
Going GaGa FAQ’s

A: Tickets are $6.50 general admission, and $4.50 for BMFI members. Babies come free!
Q: What kinds of movies do you show at Going GaGa events?
A: We show the same newly released films that we show in the evening. Just check your local newspaper or our web site for the listings.
Q: Is there an age limit for babies?

Q: Is there a place to change diapers?
A: Yes, we provide you with a changing table.
Q: Can I bring a stroller into the theater?
A: Unfortunately we cannot allow strollers into the theater as they block access to the fire exits. However, we will provide you with a safe and secure area to leave your stroller during the screening.
Q: How is the theater environment baby-friendly?
A: Lights are dimmed, but never off, making it easy to find your way in and out of the theater as needed. Also, the volume level will be turned down so as not to damage your baby’s more sensitive eardrums.
Q: Can I nurse in the theater?
A: Yes.
Q: What if my baby cries?
A: That’s ok! Going GaGa events are specifically geared towards parents with young infants, so nobody will mind if your baby cries or makes noise during the movie.
Q: Where can I park?
A: The village of Bryn Mawr has many municipal lots, and there is also free parking located in the lot directly behind the theater, which is accessible from Bryn Mawr Avenue. For further information and a map that will direct you to our free parking, click here.
