Assistive listening headphones are available for all films, to amplify audio for patrons who are hard of hearing. Headphones are self-contained and have independent right/left audio control. Audio neck loops are also available. This personal listening device connects to our headphones, allowing the wearer to hear the film directly through their hearing aid(s). The devices are available free of charge at the concession stand. Your driver's license will be held as security.
All theaters are equipped to provide descriptive narration. Audio Description is only available for select films.
When films are equipped with closed captioning, they are marked with the CC icon on our website and in the weekly email blast. BMFI offers a small, easy-to-read LED screen that fits in a seat's cup holder and allows the viewer to discreetly read the captions on the screen. Please note that not all films are equipped with closed captioning. Closed captioning devices are available free of charge at the concession stand. Your driver's license will be held as security.
The elevator next to the box office provides access to the second floor Multimedia Room, business office, and rest rooms.
All BMFI restrooms are wheelchair/powerchair accessible restrooms. For maximum convenience and assistant-capable restrooms, we recommend the restrooms beyond theater four (in the new addition) and the single-user unisex restroom in the concession lobby.
Service animals are welcome at Bryn Mawr Film Institute.
There is braille signage throughout the theater complex.
