In bohemian post-war Paris, an American G.I.-turned-painter (Gene Kelly) and his starving-artist pals dance their way through a love triangle or two, culminating—with inspiration from The Red Shoes—in a bravura ballet re-creating scenes from iconic French artwork. Set to George Gershwin’s score, Vincente Minnelli’s classic musical celebrates art, friendship, and romance in the City of Lights.

An American in Paris will be introduced by its instructor, Jennifer Fleeger, Ph.D.
