A callous lothario (Leslie Cheung) crosses paths with other lost souls as he searches for his birth mother in ‘60s Hong Kong. Days of Being Wild marked the full emergence of its director’s signature touches—swooning romanticism, dreamy urban visions, and, per The Boston Globe, “images that can make your heart stop for no other reason than that they’re perfect.”
