It’s been twelve fox-years since Mr. Fox (George Clooney) gave up raiding chicken coops and settled into quiet domestic life with his wife (Meryl Streep) and son (Jason Schwartzman), but he still craves the “pure wild animal craziness” of days past. After one last poultry-stealing spree, Mr. Fox is targeted by dreaded farmers Boggis, Bunce, and Bean, dragging the whole valley into a battle between human and animal. Anderson’s stop-motion adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic story is a delight for kids and adults alike.
Shown in conjunction with the film course The Empathy and Ecstasy of Wes Anderson, Pt. 2, this screening will be introduced by the course’s instructor, Lisa DeNight.
