P.I. John Klute suspects glamorous sex worker Bree Daniels may be tied to his missing-persons case. But Bree may be in terrible danger herself. This paranoid thriller is elevated by its psychological depth and outstanding performances from Donald Sutherland and the Oscar-winning Jane Fonda, whose portrayal of a complicated, self-aware woman upends common noir tropes.
