This modern fairy tale from auteur Céline Sciamma (Portrait of a Lady on Fire) was hailed by NPR critic Justin Chang as “both the best family movie and the best movie about a family that I’ve seen in some time.” After her beloved Grandma’s passing, eight-year-old Nelly and her parents come to pack up her mother’s childhood home. In the woods surrounding the house, Nelly encounters a mysterious girl with whom she feels an immediate bond—and soon discovers a surprising connection.
