Peru, 1988. In a clinic outside of Lima, doctors assure Quechua woman Georgina (Pamela Mendoza) that they are only taking her newborn baby for for routine tests. But the child is never returned, and the clinic abruptly vanishes. Given no help by the legal system, the desperate, grief-stricken parents find an ally in investigative reporter Pedro (Tommy Párraga). But as he digs into Georgina’s case, he discovers a network of corruption more expansive than he ever imagined. Artful and elegiac, this slow-burning, Kafka-esque thriller is based on true events.
