Harlan Jacobson’s TALK CINEMA sneak preview and conversation program showcases innovative independent and foreign films that have not yet been theatrically released. Screenings are followed by conversations led by film critics, industry insiders and creatives.

Designed for audiences who want a curated series of films and lectures, the surprise factor is part of the fun. Audiences don't know what they will see until they arrive at the screening event. This allows busy people to be part of the cultural conversation without having to slog through the mix at the multiplex. Some selections stretch the viewer’s perspective, some expand the viewer’s movie-going muscles, with post-screening conversations that help to inform and entertain.

General admission seating is available the day of the show for $20 per person. Subscriptions for the current season are available only at or by calling 914.737.7654. BMFI Members should call 610.527.4008x109 for instructions on receiving their subscription discount.
