Restored! Set adrift after her divorce, a young mother (writer/director Barbara Loden) from a rural mining town is pulled into a robbery scheme with a petty crook (Michael Higgins). A criminally overlooked gem of American independent cinema and a crucial installment in the 1970s “women's film” revival, Loden's intensely personal character study uses vérité aesthetics to portray a woman's isolation at the margins of society.
Shown in conjunction with a Cinema Classics Seminar, Wanda will be introduced by its instructor, Lisa DeNight.
