“I paint my life.” Over a seven-decade career, Chadds Ford artist Andrew Wyeth painted the people and places he knew, producing a vast body of work that was both intensely intimate and hauntingly mysterious. Drawing from interviews, archival footage of the Wyeth family, and close study of the paintings themselves, this documentary contemplates the life and legacy of an American master.
This screening coincides with the opening of the new exhibit N.C. Wyeth: New Perspectives at the Brandywine River Museum of Art from June 22 to September 15, 2019. Join us after the screening for a Q&A with director Glenn Holsten, producer Chayne Gregg, and Mary Landa of the Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art.
