With an elite “super-posse” gunning for their hides, affable train robbers Butch (Paul Newman) and Sundance (Robert Redford) quit the U.S.A. and head to Bolivia. However, their dreams of big scores and easy living are soon skewered by language barriers, dwindling luck, and changing times. Entwining the mythology of the Old West with the counterculture spirit of its era, this classic buddy movie remains touching and funny fifty years after its release.
Shown in conjunction with a Cinema Classics Seminar, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid will be introduced by Paul Wright, Ph.D.
