2025 · d. Scarlett Johansson
Starring June Squibb, Erin Kellyman, Chiwetel Ejiofor
Scarlett Johansson’s funny and poignant directorial debut follows brassy 90-something Eleanor (95-year-old Oscar nominee June Squibb, Thelma), who stumbles into a support group for Holocaust survivors at a JCC and ends up spilling her own story—only it’s not actually her experience, but that of her recently departed best friend. Her story catches the attention of a young journalism student who wants to feature her in a story, but as the two grow closer, Eleanor’s lie threatens to undermine their budding friendship.
