Con artist Harold Hill (Robert Preston) arrives in quaint River City, Iowa, with a plan—organize a youth marching band, then split with the funds. But his plan is complicated when he starts to fall for the town librarian (Shirley Jones). Featuring songs like “Seventy-Six Trombones,” “Gary, Indiana,” and “Ya Got Trouble,” this jubilant, all-American musical is a great way to celebrate Independence Day.
