Newly restored in 4K for its 40th anniversary, Stop Making Sense is frequently named the greatest concert film of all time. Filming over three nights at the Hollywood Pantages Theater in 1983, Jonathan Demme captures the innovative art-rock band Talking Heads at the height of their powers. Opening on a sparse stage with only front man David Byrne and a boombox, the band and the set (not to mention Bryne’s suit) build to remarkable heights, featuring songs like “Once in a Lifetime,” “Burning Down the House,” “This Must Be the Place (Naïve Melody),” and many more.
