Join us for a program of short documentaries from local filmmaker Stephanie Ayanian, each exploring the experience of Armenian Americans as they navigate their past, present, and future.
“What Will Become of Us” (2022) – As they reckon with the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, six Armenian Americans—famous and otherwise—grapple with how to honor their history while unshackling themselves from its trauma.
“Whatever Dreams They Had” (2024) – In Los Angeles, Armenian Catholic priest Father Armenag works to aid Syrian refugees as they build new lives in America, all while haunted by his own memories of family members lost to ISIS.
Director/producer Stephanie Ayanian and writer Mary McDermott will join us for a post-film conversation. This is a pay-what-you-wish screening.
