Starring Teresa Wright, Joseph Cotten, Hume Cronyn

Charlotte (Teresa Wright)—call her Charlie—is glad that her beloved uncle/namesake (Joseph Cotten) has come to town. But there’s something strange about Uncle Charlie. He’s tailed by two “journalists,” and bristles whenever anyone mentions the Merry Widow Strangler. Unfortunately for Charlie, Charlie senses his niece’s suspicions—and will protect his secrets at any cost.

The screening on Tuesday, July 1, is presented in conjunction with a Cinema Classics Seminar taught by Ray Saraceni, Ph.D. Seating for screening-only attendees will begin at 7:00 pm. Just want to see the film? Purchase your tickets from this page.
