From Maude to Dirty Dancing to Juno, depictions of abortion in film and television have helped shape America’s political reality. Drawing on archival footage as well as candid conversation with writers, directors, and critics, this incisive documentary explores the ways such storylines have reflected and impacted changing attitudes about the procedure and those who choose it—and examines what these stories mean in our current moment.
