VacCinema features designated days for fully vaccinated patrons.
Beginning Sunday, September 12, all films shown on Sundays and Mondays will be available only to moviegoers who are fully vaccinated.
In addition to your ticket, you will need to bring the following items to the theater to attend a VacCinema screening or educational opportunity:
Patrons without proof of vaccination will not be admitted and will be given a refund if tickets have already been purchased. All staff in the building on VacCinema days will be fully vaccinated. Please note: a negative COVID-19 test will not be accepted in lieu of proof of vaccination. Have questions about VacCinema? See our Frequently Asked Questions.
BMFI’s robust health and safety measures remain in place seven days a week. Visit the Health and Safety page for full details.
If you purchased a ticket to a VacCinema screening in error and would like to see a film without providing proof of vaccination, please email Refunds@BrynMawrFilm.org or call 610.295.1356 for a refund. Be sure to include your Order Number with your request. Proof of vaccination is not required for screenings or educational opportunities on Tuesdays through Saturdays at this time.
Q: What is accepted as proof of COVID-19 vaccination at BMFI?
A: Your vaccination card and photo ID are required for admission. Your vaccination card may be the original paper copy or a clear, legible photo of it.
Q: Who do I show my card and ID to when I arrive?
A: BMFI staff will greet you outside the front theater entrance. All persons will need to show proof of vaccination before entering the theater building.
Q: What happens if I forget my vaccination card or ID?
A: Unfortunately, patrons who cannot provide proof of vaccination at the time of their arrival will not be permitted to enter the building. We will refund your tickets if you’ve already purchased them.
Q: Can I purchase tickets at the Box Office for VacCinema screenings?
A: Yes. After you show your proof of vaccination and photo ID to BMFI staff at the front door, you may proceed to the Box Office to purchase tickets.
Q: Can I submit proof of vaccination in advance when I buy my ticket online and not bring my card to the theater?
A: No. Proof of vaccination must be presented at the theater at the time of the screening.
Q: Are masks still required on VacCinema days?
A: Yes. Masks are required in common areas at BMFI seven days a week, including VacCinema days. You may remove your mask only when seated in your reserved theater seat.
Q: Are seats reserved in VacCinema screenings?
A: Yes. All tickets are for reserved, socially distanced seating seven days a week, including VacCinema days. Film History Discussion Series does not require reserved seating at this time, although enrollment is limited to accommodate proper social distancing.
Q: Will everyone in the theater building be vaccinated on VacCinema days, including other patrons and BMFI staff?
A: Yes. On VacCinema days, all patrons and staff in the building will be fully vaccinated.
Q: Can children attend films on VacCinema days?
A: Children who are fully vaccinated may attend VacCinema screenings. Children who are too young to receive vaccinations or are not yet vaccinated may not.
Q: If I am attending a multi-week educational course like Film History Discussion Series, do I need to bring my proof of vaccination and photo ID to each session?
A: You must bring your proof of vaccination and photo ID to the first session. To expedite your admittance, we suggest you bring your vaccination card and photo ID with you to each session.
Q: I got my first shot and am waiting for my second. Can I attend a film or educational opportunity on a VacCinema day?
A: Patrons need to be fully vaccinated in order to attend VacCinema. A person becomes fully vaccinated at least two weeks after their final dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. For the Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines, which require two doses, this means two weeks after the second dose. For the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which requires one dose, this means two weeks after the first and only dose.
Q: What if I am not vaccinated against COVID-19?
A: You may see a film or attend an educational opportunity on Tuesdays through Saturdays at this time. BMFI encourages all patrons to get vaccinated for the safety of BMFI patrons, staff, and our community.
Q: What if I purchased a VacCinema ticket by mistake?
A: You may receive a full refund for any VacCinema tickets purchased in error. Please email Refunds@BrynMawrFilm.org or call 610.295.1356 for a refund. Be sure to include your Order Number with your request. You may purchase a new ticket for a screening on Tuesday through Saturday to see a film without proof of vaccination.
