As a nonprofit community film exhibition and education center, BMFI relies on financial support from individuals, foundations, corporations, and government grants to fuel our innovative programs and maintain our historic theater. These are some of the ways you can show your support of BMFI:
Membership is a significant source of revenue for BMFI and a great value for you. Join now.
As a higher-level BMFI member, you become a partner in furthering BMFI's mission. Review the benefits of sustaining membership and see if this form of support is right for you.
Online donations to BMFI are secure and convenient. If you want to support a specific program or initiative, simply include your instructions in the "Notes" area and we will be happy to honor your wishes. If you prefer to mail your donation or would like to pledge a significant gift over time, we have a downloadable pledge form for your convenience.
Planned Giving is simply a commitment to give at some future date, either a number of years from now or at death. There are numerous ways to make a planned or deferred gift, and each has associated tax ramifications for the donor. Some types of planned gifts are described on our Planned Giving page to guide your discussion with your financial advisor about a plan that would fit your long-term goals.
Many corporations will match charitable gifts made by their employees, multiplying the impact
of your donation. If your employer will match your gift and requires the gift recipient to
submit a form, please mail the form along with your donation to:

BMFI is happy to receive gifts of stock. Please ask your broker to electronically transfer
the stock from your account into BMFI's Raymond James account using the following information:
Contact: Eileen Gravinese
Account name: Bryn Mawr Theater Film Institute
DTC number: 0725
Account number: 5305G831
After requesting transfer, it is very important to contact Charles Grafman, Director of Development, 610.527.4008 x103, with the specifics of the securities being transferred (stock name, share quantity, as well as the date of instruction to your broker). This will enable BMFI to track the stock once it is put into the Bryn Mawr Film Institute account and to properly acknowledge your gift.
Businesses eligible to participate in the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) can provide significant funding for BMFI's third grade visual literacy program while earning tax credits for their business. In recent years, this important source of revenue enabled BMFI to provide See, Hear, Feel Film to hundreds of students in underserved schools free of charge. Complete eligibility requirements, application procedures, and deadlines for businesses can be found on the EITC web page.
Businesses, educational institutions, and arts and community organizations are invited to take advantage of BMFI's high-profile onscreen announcements and print placement in Projections to promote their missions or events to the large and growing BMFI community. Complete details can be found on the Become a Sponsor page.
Show your support for Bryn Mawr Film Institute and honor someone special by dedicating a theater seat in their name. For a donation of $2,000 per seat, the honoree's name will be engraved on a plaque permanently affixed to the beautiful new seat of your choice. You can make your seat sponsorship donation online or by downloading and mailing in a Take-A-Seat sponsorship form.
